How much weight could be removed from a clk ?

I'm bored and haven't been on here for ages, I was wondering how much weight could be removed and I mean everything non essential as most of the interior looks heavy, I doubt anyone has done it but my junk 270 diesel is worthless and Ive always felt it would make a sleeper with a bigger turbo, anyway its just a thought.

While I'd never strip my CLK, weight reduction has been a fascination of mine since being a poor high school student with a VW Rabbit who had friends with Mustangs. So let's start a list, weights are approximate:

Easy stuff:
1.Spare tire and jack 40lbs.
2. Swap for a Braille type battery 15lbs.
3. Windshield washers tank 8lbs (if full)
4. Passenger seat 60lbs
5 Back seat 40lbs (I think that what the CLK Black save there)
6. Noise insulation 50lbs

If you want to go full track day car extreme/ point of no return, get out the air body saw and hole saw:
1. Swiss cheese bumpers 15lbs
2. Cut out spare tire well and replace with sheet aluminum 10lbs
3. Strip carpet (Heavy!) 50lbs
4. Remove door panels, swiss cheese doors, remove safety bars 60lbs
5. Headliner and padding 5lbs

AC/heating system, 200 pounds to include the non-essential dash parts. Center console. Air bags, lighter wheels and tires.

I would guess 650-750 pounds.

I would guess 650-750 pounds, sounds good I just need to take the plunge and buy a another daily driver then start the project but no doubt people will say its waste of time and better off buying a better car.

None for now
Get rid of the muffler, resonator and secondary cats, rear seats, passenger seat, lightweight wheels, etc.

Just to update this I'm not bothering with this crazy Idea, I cant bring myself to destroy my clk. Instead I'm looking for a nice 330i once i've fixed two leaky injector seals.
