CLK55 Loss of Power Steering Fluid

I've just lost what looks like all of the power steering fluid on my 2003 CLK55. Complete loss of steering assistance and the undertray has pooled a lot of fluid.

Before I can get somebody to take it apart, is this a known issue with a known fix?

I am thinking pump, lines or cooler (if it has one).

Any experience gratefully received!

Sorry - to add, the loss of steering was sudden. From memory, it may have been at a point where the steering was turned fully in one direction.

This is making me think that a seal blew out somewhere or a damaged hose finally gave up...

NO LONGER ACTIVE
Sudden loss is probably a blown hose or connection of a hose. Slow leaks are usually bad seals in the rack.

It was one of the hoses in the end. I had the garage do a temporary repair but will need to buy the replacement part.

It was part 160 in the attached, right next to the part on the diagram marked 170.
