Replacing comand 2.0

Good evening

I'm looking for help: I'm gonna change all my center console in order to have a restyling one( climate, navigation, upper button console).
I would like to get an audio20 ( I don't mind have navigation) or a chinese headunit such as seicane.
The problem is that I have bose amplifier with fiber optic: can i plug audio 20? is it plug&play?
If I would like to install seicane headunit, what kind of job should I do?
Thakns in advance guys!

This is a very complex project. You will probably spend less money just buying a newer MY2005+ car. There are differences in the fiber - your car uses D2B, facelift uses MOST, so all fiber components have to be swapped (you can use the same fiber cable itself, just replace the end connectors). Also, the CAN bus is different so there are other parts beyond what you see that will need to be swapped. I recall a guy on the Benzworld W203 forum who did this and spent well over $2K, but he did not have the Bose system , so no fiber issues.

Thanks Rudeney.
If I want to install a chinese unit, should i simply get rid of fiber optic and connect new speakers with new wire?

Why go with a Chinese unit? I'd go with a quality aftermarket radio (Pioneer Kenwood, etc.).

I understand the appeal of a direct replacement and have been considering one myself. Supposedly they are plug and play and will work with the factor amp and steering controls. It is the main reason i am looking into them though. The other being a factory look with no dash kit.

The Chinese head unit might be a better deal for you . If you get the chinese unit make sure you get one with the Bypass cable . Its a long loom they give you that basically plugs into the back on the unit and you run it to the bose amp and plug it into the bose amp harness . If you go with aftermarket unit you need to add aftermarket amp . I have a Kenwood unit in and i love it but I had to replace the speakers run power wire for the amp and rcas . The Chinese unit are very easy to install you don't need a special bezel or wire harness to buy Or any aftermarket steering wheel control interface . Its plug and play . If your really want the best sound and to make it louder then dont do the chinese radio . I had the chinese radio and i wished kenwood made an android unit with better sound output . Just know the way i did it costs lots of money and time to install and tune . If you need help with either let me know i am glad to help you .

Thank you!

I honestly wouldn't spend the money and time to get a command 2.0. Its ancient and for the same price you can get the android which give you ton of functions like nav and updated , Sd , USB , Bluetooth . Android / Apple auto mirror. DVR system . But ultimately its up to you . I am not sure about the fiber optic . But i found this for DIY this should help you . let us know how it turns out.
