Thanks everyone,

I love Obsidian Black and the new NANO paint.

AW7ME- you would need to upload your photos to a host server

Here is the link http://www.stlhosting.com/upload/

before you post click on IMG bottom and paste the host link and you may review the post before you actually post out.

Cheers

Thanks again Kaiju, glad you like it.

calboy- I have not seen the normal obsidian black in person, but I think Nano paint has a new clear coat on top of normal coat, so I assume maybe a little bit more shinier.

Here's a good article on the Mercedes nano-paint, which, like DTMCLK said, is a special clearcoat on top of the regular paint. Of course, it would be even cooler if they could incorporate the technology into the actual paint itself.
http://www.auto123.com/en/info/news/...tid=21942&pg=1

If you want to see a really cool paint, check out the VW Phaeton in the Black Klavierlack finish- it's a great, glossy piano-like finish.

Does anyone know when Mercedes started using the nano-paint on the CLK?

AW7ME and RohithT

I believe the Nano paint started from October 2003 production CLK, as one member from the forum had October production and his car Has C in the colour code.

The Nano paint code starting with C or K , if you have cabbriolet you will see K instead of C

mine is C197

so you may check on ur colour code tag near the driver or passenger door

My photos are 1024x768 so i guess thats the best size to fit the page.

Cheers

maybach..

I bought my CLK from Morrison, a friend of mine introduced me there.

As I live at northshore, therefore morrison is closer to me, their service is outstanding, and I was able to get my car after 3 month since i first ordered, they have provide me with curtesy car while they ordering the CLK from Germany.
Alot of my Indo friends ordered their Merc from Sanderson, maybe is because the location is closer to them. As you know Merc has strict rules with prices, because of the 2nd car value is high, therefore they would not give much discounts for BRAND new car.

Where are you located in sydney? btw I'm from Taiwan and u?

How many Maybach is available in Sydney?

I never seen one in person...

Regards

Go and see Sam Wong from Morrisons @ Gordon (Chatswood showroom is getting refurbish), just tell him DTMCLK or I sent you, he will look after you as his done with DTMCLK, he should be able to squeeze some $$ off the retail price tag but the other main thing to consider is that he will also shuffle around and get the car as quick as he can... I was supposed to wait for 10 months for my car but ended up only waiting for 7months and DTMCLK only waited for 3months which is pretty good I think... plus the service is not bad as well, I was invited to some corporate box during the Addidas International Tennis... the tennis was **** but the food and drinks were great!!

PS, do you want to activate your TV so you can watch it while moving? I know someone who has a Star Diagnostic computer to overide that on all classes... dealers won't do it because its illegal, blah, blah, blah....

have to hook up one day... love to check out your rides!!

Cheers,
Ho

I am originally from Sydney but have spent ten years in london, new york, and then Hong Kong, i still keep a place in Hong Kong but have been living back in Sydney for two years now. I live in Point Piper, so it is very convenient for me to buy from Sandersons. At the moment they tell me that i am the only customer in Austrlia to have taken delivery of a Maybach. They have also taken a deposit from another customer for the 57 and they say Lindsay Fox should recieve his 62 this year. At the moment the SL isn't on my shopping list. Most of the cars i own are driven by my wife and kids. I sold my S600 when i took delivery of the Maybach. My wife drives the CL600 and my daughter the CLK500. My son drives a Range Rover Vogue. I'd rather be driven, hence the Maybach. The only other car that i have is an 03' Lambo Gallardo for the weekends. At this point i only have one spare parking space in my garage so i shall have to consider carefully my next purchase.

Wow Maybach...

Mercedes Australia should have giving you a Gold plaque reward for best customer in Sydney.

Mercedes has good reputation in Car Making history, I would still get a Mercedes if I do go for a luxury sedan, however Sports car I will go for Porsche, Ferrari, Lambo (gallardo) or Auston Matin DB9.

However I guess I need to work harder to make those dreams come true, time goes very fast, as I'm turning 26 this year and
I'm quiet happy with My CLK at this stage of life.

Hopefully I can see your Maybach one day..

Cheers
