Broke a piece of plastic that holds the partition in the center rear of the trunk up...any pics of that part so I can replace reglue or fix this item? I looked around for 2 hrs on line couldn't find part.
This is from another clk and maybe my car is not broken...ill have to wait till i get home..thanks for trying to help.This plastic piece is shown from the left side..it just slides over another square holder.
When you get home, try to take a pic with a slightly wider shot - I'm trying to figure out from memory and parts diagrams what this is. I think it's actually the hinge.
I looked when I got home, its not broke ..the shape is not like the pic of the 550. The roller coaster hump is much more flat...looks fixable with a little glue and some plastic.I will take a wider shot tomorrow.I can see and or feel the struts on either side are gone and thats why the unit does not hang up there .I have been using a wooden notched brush to activate the sender unit so the top will work.Maybe Ill get the part number on the stamped underside and fix it?I just got the windshield replaced new wheels /tires fog light and some expensive thermostat and emissions stuff done .Im not complaining but its over 4 grand in the last year because I decided to keep
After looking on line for hours finally got a utube fix for partion pins.Looked at my car with the top half open and found one of the partion pins and on the other side a wadded material that was stuffed in there at one time.Forum here says part A209 694 00 58. But could not find it.Any help finding this easy fix would be appreciated.Parts look like 5.56 a piece,everybody should be so lucky.BTW the fog lights the indie guy installed last week have failed already...expect he will repair them for free.I have given up with improving the lights although H7 in the fogs would probably help.I don't want to spend any more.I was lucky enough to find a burl knob at formymercedes for the same price as the lights and my knob is worn.lol
