CLK 220 Blowing though the oil filler cap/missing oil
Hi, hope you're enjoying the weather!
Yesterday I have bought CLK 220 (2007) with 101k miles and today I have noticed that when I open the oil filler cap with the engine running the air is coming out as well as the oil is spitting. It's difficult to describe how mildly or heavily it's blowing, but you can definitely feel it and it's blowing harder compared to the VW that my father owns. On top of that I've check the engine oil level and the computer says that 1 litter of oil is missing to reach the max level. The oil has been changed by a trade dealership 2300 miles ago. There is no visible smoke coming out of the exhaust. Not sure if it's relevant, but the previous owner had changed EGR valve after the car was in a limp mode as well as serviced gear box (changed the transmission fluid, filter and electric plate), had to replace the oil filler cap as the oil was coming out a bit. I've noticed that the oil is still coming out though the cap a bit, I cleaned it up a bit today and I'll check if it's still leaking. I bought the car without the service history. Moreover, I have noticed that after starting the engine there starts to appear very light foam (will attach a photo) in the engine coolant tank - is that normal?
So the question is should I be worried that the air is blowing out of the filler once the cap is removed or is it normal with these engines (2.1L CDI)?
Am I correct thinking that 5W30 oil should be used for this engine?
What is your opinion of Xado Engine Revitalizant?
On a separate topic, I'm new in the UK and I enjoy doing the car maintenance myself - where do you buy car parts? Does www.eurocarparts.com/ sell genuine items?
Thanks for your help!

The foam in the coolant tank could mean either a blown head gasket or transmission fluid getting mixed with the coolant inside the radiator which would mean a leak inside the radiator.
However, the oil loss makes one lean more towards the head gasket problem. Try adding 1L of oil, and log when you did that and at what mileage and let's see when it loses that 1L again.

Appreciate your input. Will top up oil/coolant and see how it goes. I could not find a specific way how I could check if it's definitely a blown head gasket or is there one?

To do a compression check, do you need to put the accelerator to the floor as you crank it, or does the fuel injection always start in the WOT position? Older carburated vehicles required the throttle to be fully open manually as you crank the engine.

Thank you all for your thoughts and replies. The coolant stopped "foaming" on it's own (windscreen wash instead of coolant..?), the oil level problem disappeared after the car was parked on a level ground (previously it a car was parked on a slight level downwards.. Yes, I'm an idiot, did not realise how sensitive it was). Done about 800 miles without any issues.
