ECU reset..

Ive read several articles on the ECU reset, and it looks pretty simple.
Hold down the gas pedal to the down shift button ..etc..
here is a pic of my CLK..there is no button that the gas pedal can engage.
If I put the pedal all the way, there is no click or movement.
My question is will this ECU reset still work on this CLK? Many thanks..

It's not an actual "button", but you should feel the difference. It's actually a small spring, the additional pressure makes it take extra pressure to click down. The regular TPS sees the additional travel as the kickdown request.

The button is right there in your pic - it's round black plastic with two vertical "ears" on it.

thanks for the replys..
Ive pushed the pedal all the way to the stop, but I can feel no difference, and no audible click.
The videos ive seen, you can push the button with your hand, and there is a click.

Yeah, you may not hear anything audible when you hit the "kickdown" button - just press the accelerator has far down as you can. BTW, what this does is re-sync the drive-by-wire throttle system. It doesn't reset the ECU or TCU, but it can make things seem to operate better.
