Probably boring to most of you as there are so many of these threads on here, but I thought I'd share a few pics of the new quad system I had installed last week:
I'm never bored by exhaust...….. It looks like a very good job of the install and welds. What type muffler and x-pipe? I see that you replaced the forward piping also. I wish I had also. What size piping did you use and How does it sound? Are you experiencing any drone?
Looking forward to a sound clip. Cannot do a quad exhaust easily on the cabriolets, but always interesting to see and hear what others choose to do with their toys.

Haha, I actually copied your exhaust layout for the most part- your exhaust thread was very helpful so thanks! It's a Magnaflow muffler and X-pipe, the muffler is part 11386 14". I used 2.5" piping straight from the primary cats (secondaries removed)
I love the sound, real deep burble...it's very loud- I like my neighbours to know I've returned home safely each night, the exhaust ensures they're notified... There is some drone but I can live with it, I do a 2 hour journey to Wales in it on the motorway (highway) every Friday night and it's noticeable but not enough to be annoying.

Can you not run pipes with no muffler on each side like I have done? I didn't move the spare wheel well for my install.
There is not a problem with heat on the trunk spare well. You might put some heat shield on the gas tank on the passenger side, as I did, but that is not really necessary. And if you were really concerned about the trunk area, you could wrap with exhaust/header wrap the pipes in the area of the trunk. This wrap is generally made of fiberglas and is fairly easy to apply. Wrapping also keeps the gases inside the pipe at a higher temp allowing for higher flow velocity, which is a good thing.
