Rear window rolls down a bit, then jams
I just got my car back from the dealership for an oil leak repair (cam cover gaskets), and now I noticed that my rear left window will no longer roll down all the way. It goes down an inch or two, then gets stuck. I tried to push it down, but it feels like it's physically jammed on something. I can hear the motor trying when I press the button, so I know it's getting power. Has anyone had a similar problem? I've read that the regulator assembly is a $500+ part, but does the whole thing need to be replaced if the motor is still good?

It's very common problem https://mbworld.org/forums/clk-class...ndow-pics.html
You can buy entire assembly or only repair kit (as i did https://mbworld.org/forums/clk-class...ml#post6937605)
It's time-consuming job it's not going to be cheap to get it fixed by dealer.

I'm parting out the 2006 W209 CLK350 and have rear left regulator available and working if you'll end up needing to purchase this part.

Thanks for the video, but that is a crap ton of complicated work. Is the coupe any easier? If not, I think you just motivated me to just leave my rear windows up lol.

I just dismantled the coupe - definitely not easier. Actually it took me more time than convertible since I didn’t know the spots for a couple screws. Side panels removed in different way - need to release the lock. There is a videos on YouTube about Coupes.

I did this job for the first time about a month ago. It is a little tedious but not hard. Id say it was about 2 hrs all in and that is because rewinding the cable took me some time to figure out. Coup btw.
