My hydraulic system failure so I have to manually open the sop-top. After loosening the button of the pump, 2 round buttons of the rear cylinders, open 2 latches above the trunk. When I loop the 2 straps to pull the top up, I saw a plastic bar is broken (in the picture).
What the usage of this plastic bar. Does the strap pull it up? If it has broken, can I manually pull the metal top up?
We all have it broken :-D Don't worry, I remember there was a thread about this thing, you can probably fix it, but it affects nothing. I had one broken on my car and there were no issues with opening soft top manually (obviously automatically as well).

Thank, so if it is broken, do I still need to loop the strap and pull up?
It might be complicated to explain, I attached an owner's manual, page 406
Dear dzmitry, My top system is failed (oil leak), so I close/open it manually. But I always receive "Top in operation" in the dashboard. How to let the vehicle stop this warning?

Did the roof worked fine before you tried to operate it manually? This message usually means that one of micro-switches is not working.
What I would try:
1. Do open-close cycle couple of times (manually, but be sure to go through all steps including closing the front latch)
2. Check all micro-switches
