When I bought the car owner said no leaks,ha , fuel tank has been leaking gass for years through cracks in plastic on the fuel transfer pump behind driver's seat side. . I purchased from TRQ replacement unit $120 works fine everything matches up,bought the 105 degree angle adapter in order to get to the clamp bands no other choice. Clamp rings were still flexible enough to reuse. I cut the press on fuel line on the pump as depressing the clip lock would not release.Mercedes tech in town wanted $225 to do the swap ,figured I'd have a learning experience instead. You have some interesting tools. Cool though. I have always taken labor cost into account so I could justify buying the right tools for the job, then do it myself.

The labor only by local Benz doctor was going to be $225 est. The speaker and angle drive tool was about $40 so a good add to my tool box ,I will definitely running the gas as low as possible before doing this job is a really good idea. [QUOTE=BenzBopper;8571251]

Think I am going to tackle this soon. I have a long crank issue on my car that has been sitting a while.

I replaced both pumps and installed the larger tank o-rings. Long crank problem solved.
