2007 CLK 350 convertible top fix

Heyy, so my convertible top is getting stuck in this position. It unlocks the front end and the back lifts up only till this position, but the back window doesnt unlock and the top wont go further then this. Any ideas what could be the issue? Thanks

my 2005 did the same thing, you need to try to push the cover closed open the trunk look at you pump reservoir make sure there is enough fluid in it. you may have a leaking ram or seal somewhere.

Thanks for your reply. The reservoir has plenty of fluid and the motors are able to close and open the back till this position. I cant really figure out why it wont go any further. Also I’m not able to manually lift the back window as well cause it seems locked. Any ideas?

at that point don't push down , try pushing the cover forward, mine is doing the same but I'm low on fluid, other that that not sure what to do.

Thank you. I think i might’ve presented this wrong, but the car is able to automatically close the rear bow down. I’m trying to open the top but the bow doesnt lift up. Also worth mentioning that my right rear window doesnt go down because I need to change the regulator. Does that in any way prevent the top from opening as well or would that not make a difference?

That could be an issue. I say this because just recently (last month) when my top couldn't go down due to the rear headrests becoming deployed, my right rear window sounded like it was off track. Since the headrests were put back in their proper position, and I've let my top down 3 times, that right rear window seems to be fine, and on track...no noise from the window any more.

Wow thats definitely interesting because my headrests were popped out too and i had to manually push them back down. I dont know if thats related but did you do anything else to fix the issue?

*Update*
i finally managed to get my top to work (im sor frickin happy!)
it turned out that the right flap was getting stuck and wasnt falling down thats blocking the bow from going up. Im not sure if the flaps are motorized and go down electronically or not. But it still gets stuck everytime i close and try to open the top, i have to manually wedge the flap down and then open the top. Does anyone know what might be the issue thats making the bow stuck?
