I have a 05 CLK 320 A209 AND I have the standard head unit with HL Harmon Kardon optical fiber connections... my radio works fin and has the CD changer in glove box however, I want to upgrade to the command unit.. can I do this? and while Im in there I want to add bluetooth...
You might be able to plug in a Command unit fairly easily but there is no simple solution for adding bluetooth. I am planning to install a simple bluetooth interface device that supports Android Auto/Apple Carplay and route the audio through my existing stereo. This is the unit I bought on amazon.ca
I bought a 2005 clk320 cab last week that came with a comand unit (the one with flip screen , navigation, aux input in glove comp.and “serv” button) and wanted Bluetooth as well, after looking at several YouTube videos I purchased a small Bluetooth device that can be used to plug into same slot of big square connector with white plug in place of the white plug that connects to the aux input, it works great and have been able to play Spotify through my iPhone by connecting to the Bluetooth device, I powered the Bluetooth device by splicing the brown an blue (Gnd/12v) wires that feed the cigarette lighter (on when ignition is on)
