If given the choice would you cab owners prefer the 500 cab or a 645 vert??

I been deliberating back and forth with myself for months now. I dunno what to do, I am an MB man but the 6 vert looks real hot actually. The only thing is that it costs as much as an AMG55 cab and it has that 'controversial' Idrive thingy. I was also considering the M3 cab since I've been offered like 5K back from MSRP at a local dealer, but I think they are restyling soon and I dont want to be stuck w/an older car body. What would you guys do? Are you happy w/your cabs?? I am antsy, I've had my C for over 4 yrs-its time to trade up!!

m3 is pretty , in classic way

not very sure new one will look al that good the way bmw bangle styliong is going. 5k off is nice as welll. but very different car from clk500 cab. m3 is like motorcylce engine, revs high, is very loud. clk 500 engine goes very well. but very quiet, race car vs gt car/

I actually really like the 6 series. There are some nice fixed up six series up at e46fanatics, with full hamann kit and 20' wheel, OMG that thing looks hot.

Um, like you said– the 645ci is priced similar to the CLK 55; so why aren't you considering the AMG?
I'm guessing you've driven both (or all 3, if you include the AMG); figure out which one's ride is more to your liking and go with that. Insist on extended test drives if you must (any dealership worth your business will let you do that).
As far as looks go, as it's newer (and more rare, at least where I live), I think the 645 will garner far more attention than the CLK. I think they're both great, but I'd put the CLK's interior above the 645's. I'm not a fan of iDrive, but the people I know who have new 7's and 5's say that you get used to it after a while.
Also, BMW does include maintenance for free during the warranty period, while MB only covers the first oil change, so that's something to keep in mind; that'll amount to several hundred dollars in the end.

I just figure if I really am going to spend that much that I definitely will go with the 6. I am considering a 500 because it is very nicely priced.

I think the 6 is the ugliest Coupe ever made !

I'd sooner drive around in a Toyota that looked like Mike Tysons *** than a new 6 !

645 hands down (vs. clk500), but the price of the cab seems closer to an sl500, which would be a harder choice IMO

Yep that black one looks good but its *** is just horrible, it'd be like looking at JayLo walking towards you, and you visualise it in your head as whe walks past, then you turn around for a quick sneaky peak and its actually Kirstie Alley walking away from you !

That breyton kit on a 6er is PIMP.... Besides, not alot of people sport breyton stuff. Im sure lots of people have AC and hamann kits on there 6 series.

That black 645 looks tight, kind of like a Porsche 996, but the A$$ looks like a freakin' Chrysler Cirrus.

For me it's all about speed/power per dollar. At $75,000, I'd much rather have a CLK55 AMG Cabriolet and smoke the living daylights out of that BMW Cirrus.

But if you want to save $20,000, get the CLK 500 Cab for $55,000 (with sport package included) and use the extra dough to get a sweet suspension and a set of great 19" rims and be done with it.

the Black BMW looks cool, but for the amount of money they want, it dosen't look that great, plus it's SLOW!

While those pics of the 6 look good, how about a clk 500 cab with a Kleeman kompressor?

forget them both...

and get yourself the new Porsche 997. 0-60 in 4.3 seconds, approx. $75K, with better looks. you would need to give up a fairly sizable back seat however, as in the clk, not sure about the 6
