Differences in the exterior of CLK with AMG bodykit and CLK55
hey, I'm going to be purchasing a CLK and am considering getting an AMG bodykit. I was just wondering are there any visible cosmetic differences between a CLK with AMG kit and an actual CLK 55.

The wheels are different on the CLK55 and you dont get the AMG badge on the trunk with the CLK500 plus AMG kit.
I ordered the AMG body kit as the car just looks so much better.
Where are you located?
The AMG kit comes as Standard on US spec CLK500 cars but was a NZ$10000 extra here in NZ plus you had to order the trunk spoiler Code 773 additional to the kit. Still dont have a price for this item.
Our car is now due in NZ on 12th Jan.

There are only a few cosmetic difference between the AMG CLK55 and the CLK500. First off I am assuming your located in the US. Well, the body kit is exactly the same for the CLK55 and the CLK500. THe rear bumper is a little bit different. The CLK500 comes with a round tip for the exhaust. The CLK55 comes with the quad exhaust that is incredible. Of course you have the bigger engine in the CLK55 vs the CLK500. BOth cars have different AMG style rims. CLK55 has the twin spoke AMG style rims. You also get the AMG embossed brakes vs Mercedes Benz embossed brakes on the calipers. THe AMG front rotors are cross drilled vs. NOT cross drilled. You obviously get the AMG badge in the rear. Depending on what options you get, some CLK500's don't come with the trunk lid spoiler. I guess that is it for the exterior. For the interior, I believe you get the AMG embroidered leather. You get the multi contoured seats. The instrument cluster is alittle bit different with the AMG. All in all, I LOVE the CLK55 but I couldn't afford one so I have a CLK500. Either car looks stunning! GOod luck!

Yes you are correct in the sense that the only difference in the body kit is the rear bumper. However in the title of the thread it reads "Differences in the exterior of CLK with AMG bodykit and CLK55". So to me, he is asking the difference of a CLK WITH an AMG body kit and a CLK55 overall appearance. I might be mis-interpreting this. If I am , my apologies.
