So after I had picked up my vehicle after 2 weeks I enjoy every moment of it.
As I have arrived in Sindelfingen I was warmly greeted by two monkies who were so kind to take my lagguage
and also my floor mats. I have then been informed that Friday is always a high season for Americans and Europeans as they
combine their vehicle delivery with the weekend. After they have taken my lagguage and the floort mats I have received a coupon for
my luggage and was beeing told that the lagguage will then be put into the vehicle as soon it gets ready.
Also I hace received a meal vouches for the restaurant. The total wating time would be around 3 hours which passed by very quickly.
On the top there was also a lounge where you could drink soft drinks and coffee with a small buffet. As the 3 hours seemed so long I took
the factory tour and a short film introduction about Mercedes. However I really would find it highly appreciated if they could treat the AMG customers differently. A moive about the AMG Production and AMG Enigne Production would have been very nice. The only advatange I have get which others peope did not was the free Restaurant voucher.

So As the hours have passed by I w got called over the speakers. I was inside so greedy that I could have not stop waiting any longer.
A nice oler women around the 40's has introduced herseld. For her age she looked quite attractice. Well you know Germany women right?
Soon I realized that I had more knowledge of the car then she had. I told her to skip that god dam introdcution. However she insited to show me everything. Then I have inspected the car very throughly. I have looked at the paint. The enigne was started the interor leather was checked. The Navigatiosysten. The power windows. etcc.. Also I have found one mistake of the side amg bumper. It was off my 3cm's Ok. So the car had to be driven back into the Inspection hall. I wonder what they call these halls these day?. I have
also borught some Mp3 cd which I got the chance to test it straight away. It worked perfectly fine. However later I have found out that the mp3 cd's can only be payed to a max. of 99 tracks. I guess that this is a software problem or sort of that.
If I have found that sooner I could have said at the delvivery center that I will not pay for that. Hehe No way.
Okay so after inpsecting everything we drove a short testdrive. Also I have noticed that the car already got 85km on the speedometer.
The friendly reply of the lady was that all Amg vehicles are driven and inspected after assembly on the test drive.

So then I went straight on my holdiday to south of france. The first 1500km was a pain in the ***. but I have enjoed the lower rpm of the V8. It's like an orchestra. It's not a show off like an M3 or Porsche but a truly understatement vehicle.
The engine sound is such beautiful. Ok for the history. I had since 2000 3 CLK'S this is my fourht one. I hope it will last longer and I will not get bored with it again to soon. Hmm.
Anyways the headlight now looks even better now as firstly thought. It is very clear and has the latest LED lamps. It looks in the night really great. Maybe we can make an comparsion between the old headlight and the new one.
The AMG front Bumpers are so beautiful. Somehow it reminds me a bit of a Ferrari?! What! Look again at the picture.

Okay enough Talk talk.
Take care and to the next pit stop.

GG

Das ist ein verdammt schönes Auto und lässt mein neues Auto ganz alt aussehen. Was für Ausstattungen gab es mit dem Auto? Wo genau aus Deutschland kommst du her?

Ich finde, dass wir mehr Bilder brauchen, vielleicht von dem Motor?

** English here**
That is one hell of a beautiful car and puts my new one to shame. What options did you get with the car? Where in Germany do you come from?

I think you should post more pics here by the way!! Maybe some of the engine!!

Thanks

Matthew

However congrats on your clk280. Great color and combintaion of options.
The idea of the sport package was quite good. AMG package would been to expensive. around 5400€. I reall want to see how much this package will cost in the USA. The leahter quality of the normal leahter upholstery has improved significantly compared to the old one. Why did you not choose the 350 engine.
In my view this would have been the best bargin. You will later regret that.
Trust me. However with the 240hp you got now you are even better of than the old 320 engine.
Picutre of the engine will follow soon.
Btw what floor mats do you have? ist that the one from the AMG.
I still have to buy some.

I have the standard "Mercedes-Benz" floor mats that now come with the Sports Package. Very nice mats they are too... super soft and easy to clean. The leather has drastically increased in quality compared to old!

I didn't take the 350, simply down to costs and insurance. I couldn't afford to go higher at this time. However, I'm going to either be a 500 man next or AMG. Gotta sort a few monetary issues out. I'm also got the SL55 AMG in my head and it wont go away.

When I collected my car, a guy turned up with his wife for her to collect her SLK and he came in an SL55. I was feeling like a very poor man when I got my car.

Love the exhaust and the fact that MB upgraded the rear calipers/rotors. They should have done that a long time ago.
