I saw a 2004 CLK 55 for $40,000, 4010 miles! Legit??
Has the car ever been in an accident, and have you ever suffered with any problems in the car? What condition is the car in?
Thank You

I'm very glad that I see you are interested in my car. The car is in perfect condition of working, clean title, all services are up to date and it looks great too. The engine, drive train, & equipment are all in proper working order.
The ride is smooth, there are no shakes or pulls in the steering. Interior , well kept. Exterior, No dents, No scratches.
I really take good care of my car and I assure you will have no complains.
Well, the thing is that the car is already at the shipping company, crated and ready to go.
I had another customer in this area who said he will buy the car and after I made all shipping arrangements and paid for it, he changed his mind.
And now, if I want to retract the car I will have to pay $1,270 insurance tax, shipping fees, this is why I need to ship it.
I need to sell ASAP, and since the transport is already paid for, you can have it for $40,000 if you decide to buy now.
Where are you located? I need the full shipping addres and your receiver name.
If you really want to buy this car please email me and I will send you more details about the car and the deal.
Thanks.

We will use Auto Driveaway Co. (www.autodriveawayny.com) a reputable shipping company which also manages the payment, title transfer and the shipping.
Here's how it works:
The car is already at Auto Driveaway Co. in their custody, they will e-mail you the transport information and tracking number so you can see that the vehicle is really being shipped under your name.
After you receive the tracking number, the company will require you a deposit to one of their agents that supervise this transaction, so I can be sure that you are serious about buying and I'm not shipping the car for nothing.
The company will keep the money in a trust fund until you are receiving the car and your inspection period end's. You will have 7 days to inspect and test drive the car.
After the inspection period end's, if you don't agree buying the car you will get a full refund of your deposit. If you decide to keep it, you'll have to pay the remaining balance directly to me.
If you wish to go on, please mail me back with your RECEIVER NAME and the FULL SHIPPING ADDRESS so I can open the deal.
Thank you
I have the VIN Number of the car and everything, What do i do in this position, should i sell my 2006 CLK 350 for this car? I feel like its a hell of a deal...

The way these (and all other scams) work is that simply rely on the greed of the victim. Once the crook sets the hook, the victim becomes his own worst enemy.
I commend you for posting this example of how not to become a victim or statistic.
Be smart, find an authorized dealer and work him till he gives you the right price. You'll never regret buying a real car with a dealer that will stand behind the product. You're not buying a pair of shoes, you're investing in an expensive asset. Do your due dilligence.
why don't you offer to pay an extra 1200 on top of the 40K if she agrees to get the car back from the shipping company and allows you to inspect the car before buying?
try and get her phone number, address, ask to meet her in person and see if she's hesitant to do this. if so, most likely, it's a scam.
