Never heard of this. Apparently this was once offered in the UK, but I just saw one in New Jersey.
One of a kind on these shores?

no, there r no other clk amg cars, 55 is the only 1
there r e36's, based on the 124 chassis, there were wagons, coupes and sedans built, same engine as c36 i believe

Posers
Lots has been written in various sections of MBWORLD about these "posers" and their AMG cars (latest I saw was a C240 AMG). Takes about $39 to buy the AMG badging at the dealer and put it on. Since we are "into" our cars, we know better. People who aren't into AMG don't know and don't care. The people who do this silly stuff are only fooling themselves, not us.

actually it would be ok to put amg badges on cars as long as they have amg products on... it represents the modification company (AMG) not the engine... I was thinking about having one on my car but then I changed my mind thinking of crazy street racers who would chase me thinking I drive an AMG

no its not ok.
unless u have for example; suspension, brakes and wheels, then maybe.
just wheels its not ok, or wheels and a body kit.
there has to be some mechanical/performance part

If you don't have the engine, stop being a poser.

Mine says SL600 AMG...I put 18 in staggered wheels with black tail lights on it. Hell, I think it looks pretty cool. Currently searching for an AMG Exhaust.
Maybe I'll do a Brembo cross-drilled swap in 10k miles when time to change brakes (or an AMG set, I'll decide then).

S420 AMG...AMG signifies a product of the AMG division of MB. If he went and put S73 AMG, then that would signify the engine as being an AMG Motor. The number following the model designation represents the engine.
32 = 3.2 Litre
36 = 3.6 Litre
43 = 4.3 Litre
55 = 5.4 Litre (rounded up)
60 = 6.0 Litre
73 = 7.3 Litre
