There's also an article on the CLS63...but looks like the clk is going to be the smallest and lightest chassis the 63 will go into in.

Very nice , thanks for the info !!!!

Due to the high car tax here, I will upgrade my C55 with new generation CLK63 launch in 2008 ; by then, more advance technology becomes available on the new generation CLK ( night vision, airmatic, double clutch transmission ..even suicide doors...etc )

At least....I finally have found the new CLK AMG wheels for mod my C55

I bet without a doubt the CLK63 won't be as fast as everyone thinks. I bet 0-60 times will be 4.8 to 4.7 sec.
I only say this because I can't imagine Mercedes letting the CLK out perform their flagship cars like the E or the CLS, and those run 4.5 sec now.........Unless the E63 and CLS63 0-60 times move to 4.0 sec or less and then the CLK63 moves into their old spots at 4.5 sec. That would be great!

Any thoughts on this logic? Does my logic suck? It usually does.

Nice car, only thing is that the rear end still looks WAY TOO HIGH! Needs a little tuning. Hahaha. Just kidding.

I will still wait for the newer body style.

The pricier AMG models get the full 503 HP version of the new AMG engine to help make up for the weight diff. I'm not sure that the 20 extra hp will help THAT much however. I'm actually suprised they gave the CLK 483 hp, I would have thought about 440-460 would have been it.

i'm beggining to rethink of buying a used 2004 E55, I rather wait another one more year and start looking to buy a CLK63...

It would be cheaper than the E and CLS and almost the same straight line performance. I bet it will handle better too.

7 spds and all that torque and it will probably weigh around 3600 to 3700 lbs...

one more thing..

I would think the CLK63 would get 19's but it looks like it will get 225/40/18 in the front and 255 or 265 in the rear (can't see the rear tires)

I just hope the rim width is increased to 8 front and 9" rear...

The CLS63 rims just don't really fit on that car, I prefer the CLS55 wheels.

Wonder if the vert is still going to have the exhaust on one side?

Seeing as they aren't showing the rear end on the Cab (but they are on the Coupe).........I'm assuming yes.

Hot looking overall though.

Damn I'm loving the more aggressive front apron and that engine on this car is going to be craaaaaaazzzzzyy!

However, my love is for the sl55 and the cls 55 I'm thinking of getting one of those cpo......but do you guys think that stock for stock this car would be able to beat any of those two cars? If the performance from 0-60 is the same then I would just go for the one of the two 55's, but if this car outperfroms any one of those then I will aim to getting this as my next car.

Then again there's always a ecu flashed sl600 that would just kill everyone even with alll these new toys coming out. I love these Horsepower wars! But it's driving me crazy thinking what may be available by the time i am financially ready
