My '04 CLK55 Black on Black W/ 19" Brabus Mono V

Here are finally some pictures of my CLK55. Hope you guys like them. I haven't seen too many of W209 with Brabus Mono V chrome, so I decided to get them. I know the blacked out inside with polished lip is in, but I decided to go for old chrome on black look. Let me know what you think! Also, should I lower it?

Setup:
Front: 19x8.5 with Mich PS2 235x35x19
Rear: 19x9.5 with Mich PS2 275x30x19
No rubbing and good grip!

I say lower it. If you go with H & R springs it would be 1" to 1 1/3" lower. Should cost less then $500.00 installed. Mine on my '02 was $430 ish.

Chrome wheels & dark tint calls for lowering your car. Does your license plate really spell out "AMGWHAT"?

Not sure on brand, but it is Ceramic not Metalic and a shade below Limo. The tint ran me about $550 including windshield. If you really want details I can make a call and find out.

H&R... Yes, but then camber issues in the rear... it will eat out my 275 tires in a heart beat. I will need to get a camber kit... and with that much of a drop the OEM shocks might start to give out later.

I am seriously considering Brabus springs since it is about 25mm drop and there will be no wear on shocks or camber issues.

I dont think they make H&R springs for the W209 CLK55. I couldn't find them on their website. I will probably go with renntech.

I called them on their springs, and the guy couldn't tell me how much of a drop, negative camber, or shock wear it would be. The answers I got were very vague compared to the ones from Brabus. Brabus answered all my questions... so at this point I feel most comfortable with them. Plus, I will not need a camber kit since it doesn't drop as much.

If you have the cash, you should get coilovers (either KW V2 or H&R)

Negative camber is not the biggest contributor to inner tire wear. Improper toe is. You can have -2 to -2.5 degrees of camber, but if your toe is set properly, you can have fairly even wear of your tires.
