Best regimine out there:
1) Wash with dish soap(dawn) to remove all previous waxes and sealants
2) 1 or 2 coats of Four Star Ultimate Paint Protection
3) 1 or 2 coats of Poor Boys Nattys(if silver/light metallic) or Natty's Blue(if black/dark colors)
4) Top with Optimum Car Wax AND use OCW for freshening between washes.
Silver fleck will pop, have strong depth and reflectivity. Blacks and Other Deep finishes will look like reflecting pools, not just shiny, but deep color that looks like you can reach into it!
And apart from the OCW after each wash, the base 4* will last at least 6m(some see 9m to a year) and the Nattys will last 3-4 months.
sounds ****, but trust me it is a beatiful sight to see, you never new your paint could do what it does after a good regimen!
Oh, and if you haven't taken that good of care of your paint, after the wash, but b4 anything else use a coat of Klasse All in One...this will really help prep the surface.

Having been at the Meguiar's HQ many times and attended many of their workshop, I can tell you it's some high grade stuff. Give it a shot, don't be fooled by a "mature" looking packaging and price tag.

Although I wax every two months I have my car washed by hand every other week, no brushes. First air, and then soap and water. The number one cause of dull paint is letting dust sit on your car. I now it sounds silly but it is. Dust when pushed around by air or water acts like sand paper on the paint. Of course a nice custom fit car cover by MB doesn't hurt while you don't drive her.

My Regimen on my black a** car
OK you want to talk about ****. I liquid glass my car at least once a month and wash it at least every week by hand. Sometimes if its been a rainy week I will wash it twice a week by hand. So, for a little less then $150 a month my car always looks like it rolled off of the showroom floor. Its obsidian black...do you know how hard it is to keep a black car looking good??? But, do you know how good a well maintained black car looks??

Good question, bad explanation from my part. I use high pressure air when the dust is minimal on the car and I know the wax below is it still good. You know, when you just waxed it a week ago and there is that thin film of dust from just sitting. Otherwise I use air in the areas where things get stuck like the wiper area at the base of the windshield and in the cracks BEFORE washing with soap and water. Water of course first so it acts like a lubricant between the dirt and the coat of paint...then cloth and soap.
What I should have said originally was that when a typical car without wax is dirtyand that dirt is left on, it is pushed around by wind and rain and in the process of moving around it grinds the paint. A good coat of wax is the best preventive measure for all of the above anyway.
