Trying to sell 2004 Brabus CLK55

I've been trying to sell my 2004 Brabus (B55 kit, wheels, Eisenmann exhaust) CLK55 for two months via autotraders.com (now expired) and cars.com, but haven't received much response. My wife keeps suggesting I go the Ebay route, but I haven't seen anything sell that wasn't seriously underpriced (or lower priced to start with). I could sure use some ideas about where/how to sell this car. I like the car, and it's in great shape, but we currently have five cars (one needs to go, and this one's it), and I'm now renting a garage and swapping cars in and out on the weekends (I won't leave this car outside).

Thanks much,

- Mike

Part out the mods and sell the car as stock. Market for CLK is soft right now. Heavy discounts on new CLK's. Carmax will offer a decent price if you can't find a private party buyer.

Thanks for the reply. It's a bit too late to part out any mods at this point (the original parts are long gone). I like the car and don't drive it enough to put all that many miles on it, so what I''ll probably do is keep the car until someone comes along that wants this car with these mods (which hopefully will be sooner than later...).

you could part it out in exchange for the stock parts...but i understand the hesitation, it requires more time and effort and you have to watch you baby being chopped up.

if you've really decided to get rid of it, don't wait too long as the car keeps depreciating even though it's not being driven. you could sell it at a lower price and invest the money to hopefully make up the difference...and also save money on the insurance that you're currently paying

^^ he's right. Sell the parts and do a core exchange. The market for the CLK55 isn't going to get any better.

I am in the marker for CLK55, I guess yours must be overpriced. Can you email me picture and detail of options & mods? I prefer the 05's because of quad exhaust, but if you have the same exhaust by mods, then 04 is OK.
