Wow, what a knucklehead I am! I guess I should have posted graphs but the rwhp results were pre-exhaust tuning don't reflect the car today. I would have to do another dyno to get exact numbers of rwhp. If you are serious and want to make me an offer I will find a dyno near by and do it before the auction ends. Let me see if I can find a Dyno in Boston...
I am not going to put a buy it now price on it. I think best offer will win.
Heads up!!!! RESERVE PRICE HAS BEEN MET!!!!!!!!!!!

Car Sold!!!!
Hi guys,
I have made a deal with blackbenz today and it looks like the car is sold. I am delighted that it went to someone on the forum and that this person will enjoy and remain pationate as I have been about her. He will be coming up this weekend to pick her up and driver her back home...lucky for him.
I have also sold my AMG Euro-Spec springs to another person here. All I have left are tires and original springs.
Thank you everyone,
Learso

Learso, I will still encourage you to come to the November meet. I just hope blackbenz still has enough points on his driver's license by then!

Chappy,
I think I will still go to the meet and as well remain an active member of this forum, I would miss it. Right now I am trying to finalize the deal with the G55 but the guys in Texas is playing games I think. If this deal does not go through by this week I will have to look for another car. Actually, I went to the dealer today to do some routine service on my ml500 and so a nice CLS55 AMG 06 with low miles....hmmmm. (to be continued).

2002 CLK 55 AMG Coupé
Thanks, Learso, for hanging with us even if you've let your baby go.
I have enjoyed reading your posts, starting from your defense of leaving the front tire width stock (even though you relied on bum internet info on the width of the CLK DTM front tire, which actually is 255mm) to your foray deeper and deeper into the world of Kleenmann.
In fact, I was using you as a bit of guinea pig since I am probably myself going to go down the Kleenmann road sometime next year. But first I am going to exercise my rights as a European owner and pay a visit to Affalterbach in November to see what our friends at the AMG "Performance Studio" can do -- probably at least LSD, bigger front brakes and forged DTM wheels (made by OZ and marked-up by AMG). I'll let them sort out the tire width issue.
When you get a chance, can you please post us a post-mortem on what you would and would not do again in the mod department?
Even if those Kleemann headers look awesome, at this point I am leaning against doing anything to the exhaust system -- even with a S/C -- since I like the stock sound and don't want the car any louder. I lose some ponies at the top end but a 55 K does not lack ponies. Thinking bang for the buck, only the blower and the ECU seem to make sense.
Would you agree?
P.S. congrats to BB!

The questions was: if I had to do it all over again what would I do differently...
First of all I have to say that I'm feeling lots of pain selling my baby. But somewhere in the along the road of modifications my work and family priorities became more important than my car. Plus, in this city with all the pot holes and snow as well as the bs speed limits it is hard to not only find time to enoy the car but also drive it hard. So instead I will retreat for a while, get a cool jeep, either G or Land Rover, and stack the cash for something better down the road. The best car is the one that is yet to come out.
But to be more direct, all mods in my car came out well. The exhaust problems were not Kleemann as much as they were the people at KTR. Before considering to spend loads of cash on any mods be sure you are starting from a good base. In other words, get the fastest possible stock car you can get...don't get a blower if you have a 320 or a 430, upgrade to the very best car you can first and then modify. My opinion
The Kleemann products are outstanding but their service is even better. On the service alone they rank top notch with me. Those people will NOT let you down or blow you off if your car runs into problems. And, with the exception of some of the output numbers looking to be a bit too idealistic (who's isn't), the products do the job. If I had to do it all over again I would go with mechanical upgrades FIRST and with whatever offers me the most HPs/$ value. I think the Kleemann Supercharger does that. Yes, the headers are louder than the stock...but you need to compromise something if you want WOW from the car. Start with the blower first and the ECU then LSD.

Holson, I will be super busy but if I can escape for an early lunch I would really like to meet up with you both and do this right. Holson maybe you can be our witness to the deal? I will know better how much time I have by the end of the day today.
55 fanatic: BBQs in Newport are all me. I am there. I need to find myself new wheels soon.

Newport was beautiful. Perfect weather, perfect food, and perfect cars. The spot that we used should defenitly be used again. It looked like a postcard. Only downside was that we had more grass than asphalt.

Holson,
Sounds good to me. By the way, I can have lunch after all. I will work out my schedule to accomodate it. BB is arring at around 11 so 12 is perfect. 1 hour and off we all go.
Do you have my number? If not let me know and I will PM it to you.

THE DEAL IS DONE... Congrats to both, Learso thanks again for lunch... It was above and beyond...
And the car is sick in EVERYWAY... BlackBenzz launched it on the mass pike, IT MOVES, and sounds dead sexxy
Now you just need to add that 63 to go with all the other MLs you have...

Great to meet you 55fanatic as well as b/b. I felt it was only right to invite for lunch as I was the one to get paid in this deal....at least in cash.
Hope to see you both again soon, maybe with an ML63 as I keep hearing great things about that ride. comfort, utility, and power...can't go wrong in Boston.
