W209 happiness?
Long live the CLS in all its glory.....another poor soul has fallen.

And good choice bro, I want a CLS AMG so badly...I can't break the lease though.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I went for the CLK because it's a true sport car that can actually carry a couple adults in the back (albeit not for long trips). Try putting two adults in the back of a Porsche 911.
On the other hand, the CLS is a big car that barely has more room inside than the CLK. Anyone over six feet will bump their heads in back. The styling is good, the best MB has done since the 208 CLK IMHO, and four doors would be more practical if you do make a habit of hauling people. But in its category I would take the Maserati Quattroporte Executive GT in a heartbeat.

CLS63 will overshadow and justify for you everything else. Who cares about money and depreciation - you can always make more, plus the feel of discovering and experiencing a new car is priceless!

Not priceless, but pricey.
W209 CLK55 for the win. StiggsYou have not even done anything with the car to enhance it more. Do some mods. You gave up on lowering the car with the "EURO SPEC SPRINGS"(even though I won't argue the term and have my thoughts about these) when you could have just gotten the tool from ebay and did it yourself. You still can do the exhaust system as well.
BTW, where in Paris are you? Rented a car in France many times and can't even imagine how do you manage to drive your 55 in Paris traffic

Stiggs, unless I completely misread your post you're in love with CLS and that's a perfect state to be if you want a new car. Owning a car is a love affair, I'm glad my wife is OK with that
I think you have been in love with CLS for quite a while. I think almost a year back, you would almost have sold your CLK and got a CLS55, but stopped right at the end.
I was in the same boat as you were at that time; extremely impressed by CLS, and was thinking of upgrading to CLS55 from my CLK500. However lately I have grown to appreciate my CLK a lot more, and for some reason CLS is not the same for me as it was a year ago. I am not sure why, but I has rediscovered my original appreciation for the CLK, and I can see myself keeping it for the next two years.

In fact, the reality of dense, slow city traffic is what got me pointed toward the CLK in the first place -- I decided (rightly) that I had to have a car with a good automatic and a coddling leather and wood interior.
Fortunately most of my miles, er kms, are racked up outside the City limits.

Zee,
You remember very well!
I was damn close to getting the CLS55 about a year ago and it all fell apart right at the end due to crappy trade in values on the CLK (Not much has changed).
Its a strange thing with cars and me. Its a Love - Hate relationship. Don't get me wrong....I Love my CLK......I just love the CLS too. Can't a man Love two beauties at once? LOL
Thanks guys for putting up with my emo outbursts.
I'm cooling off now on the whole CLS63 thing. Give me about 6 more months and I"ll be back blabbering again on how I need the CLS. It cycles like this a few times a year!LOL
I'm on the down cycle right now.
Tomorrow I hope to give my CLK a nice wash and go from hate back to love!
I can understand your issue in falling for another car. I was in car-love w/ my S4 'til I became an AMG owner. Then, a few mods later and I converted. Here's my former car that some may remember.

Funny thing is...the dealer that took in the trade listed it for sale at $48,995...LOL! It's gonna sit there for a looong time. Anyway, hope you stay a CLK owner for a while longer.

Hey man. Still missing the CLK huh? I think I will be a CLK owner for a few more years.......at least until I pay her off and she has some more trade in value for the CLS63.
