BeNzTeK,

Congrats on the new upgrades! What in the world are you going to do with all that power?

Not sure if you have already commited to your transporter, but I just purchased an S55 and am having it transported in an enclosed carrier from Texas to Iowa for $900. I realize it depends on the origin and destination, but here's the person I used if you are interested.

Chris Ridgeway
Transport Executives
800-841-9188, press "3" for dispatch.

He used to have his own transport company and transported exotics and even Michael Schumachers F1 car in the states. Very particular and a very good guy. I have no affiliation with him, he is just brokering the transport of my vehicle.

Hope this helps. Take care and have fun with your new found power!

Not exactly, I still have a few things up my sleeve. Cant wait to see what kind of numbers you get at the track. Definitely get the ECU tune, who said its not neccessary? Before my last round of mods I ran 0.5s quicker in the quarter than any other CLK55 I know of. Friendly competition never hurt anybody. Come spring time I'll be running sub 11.5 Congrats, I was wondering what took you so long to pull the trigger. You were talking about this before I even got my 55. You're going to love it!

I dunno about the cams, I dont have them and they only calim 17chp and 5ctq. I dont think thats worth the money. I'm looking at getting the heads port and polished next. With the setup you are getting I ran 11.7 @ 118.9 with FULL interior (including spare) and 18" monoblocks (heavy *** wheels). My advice to you is get a bigger heat exchanger. I feel this makes a world of a difference but have not proved it on the track yet. Once the tracks reopen I will. Only problem with my setup is I went tooooooo big with the heat exchanger and the car isnt as "pretty" as before (bumper is cut out and heat exchanger is about an inch off center cuz it was to big to center it, Working on getting a custom made one that will fit behind a Carlsson RS bumper cuz it has a bigger opening). I'm working on turning it into a show car right now but will get back to the performance once I recover from all the crap I ordered, lol. If you think my CLK430 looks good, wait til you see the 55 when i'm done! Let me know if you have any questions. Lowphat is the reason I got my kleemann, i've loved his car since the first time I saw it!

Congrats! You will love it and it will definitely change your life forever. Not to mention changing your pocket as well. LOL

Make sure you get the ECU it only helps. As far as brakes definitely upgrade to Brembos. Your stock won't be able to tame that power once you have fun with it.

yeah, just make sure you get the full set blower, the low boost isn't worth the $$

hey blackbenzz,i'm pulling the trigger for a kleemannized W220 S350. As you said in the other thread, the kleemann intercooler isn't front mounted. Any other choices besides custom made? i am a lazy butt guy to do all the stuff to start with

If you go on the Kleemann site you learn about a low boost (.3 bar) option which has a different size pulley and no intercooler(s). I contacted Kleemann in Denmark and learned that in fact they have never done one for the 55 motor. Besides the best part of the Kleemann technology is the intercooler right on top of the manifold, so you want to get that.

The question I am debating is whether to get the normal full boost or dial back just a bit in order to try to equalize the boost with the small front mounted intercooler, thereby minimizing heat soak. Obviously Blackbenzz is on to a better solution by upgrading the front intercooler, but that adds to cost and complication. It comes down to how much "comfort power" is enough.
