K&N Filter upgrade

Is it worth doing and did you notice any difference. There is so much power I am not sure I could tell the change.

Green Filters

I would go with Green Filters over the K&N. First, I believe they breath better and second, they are not oiled like the K&N, which has a high probability of messing up your air mass sensor. I bought some a few months back from:

Euroteck Motorsports
Phone (954) 732-4934
http://www.euroteckmotorsports.com

Make sure you ge the right part number for your car as the Green Fileter website is known to give the wrong one. I believe I used the part number for a 430 instead of the 55 but it worked just fine. I was informed of this by Euroteck Mortorsports.

As for feeling the performance difference, not sure I could tell you on a 342 hp car with 379 lbs of tQ. If anything, the difference will only be 5 or less HP but in performance situations, such as at the track or long freeway high speed drives, the extra flow of air will help your cars performance. Good luck.

I went with the K&N filters over the green filters because I've heard more complaints about the Green filters than K&N (and I've always used K&N's on all my other cars without a problem). I don't think you'll feel much of a change with either filter, but when I took out the stock filters, they did not look too good.

Hey Zoom On!! IMO the K&N has a longer history of proven performance...as far as the difference in Hp between the two?? Either one you choose, you'll get a better response than stock filters...

By the way, I posted a video on the CLK W209 page (K&N in the CLK DTM)

Over-oiled filters have done harm to the MAF....I stayed stock.

www.slkworld.com/store also sells green filters for about $20 less a pair I think.
