Are there any other wear items I'd want to have changed out on a 23K miles AMGCLK55 while it's apart? oil pump, timing chains... etc/?? I'm thinking you all will say it's just not worth it with such low miles........

HE's and boost... is scary especially with 11:1 compression...... you have very little margin for error with AFR/Timing before you break something..... heck one tank of bad gas and it's a hg or piston. Am I being too much of a chicken?
It would be fairly expensive. The AMG cylinder walls are coated so they will most likely bore the cylinders and sleeve it before dropping a piston in it. If you find someone that can make a drop in piston for a reasonable price let me know. I will buy a set too and maybe they will lower the price.

Oil pump wont be bad but I recently had my motor out and decided to replace it anyway. Cheap insurance. Dont worry about timing chain.

No, lowering compression and raising boost is probably the safest way. It is just costly.

I was debating on which tune to get for my C63-Kleeman or Renntech. Now Renntech is the way to go!

I can't believe there's not a drop-in forged low/comp piston for the CLK55 motor......!!!???!!!

Another option could be to modify the comb chambers on the heads (ported for less compression...) I don't know how much room there is on that head to keep a good flame front shape and port to lower c/r......... I saw someone ran 2 thick head gaskets..... to lower c/r...... I guess that would work, but not optimal. Are there thicker HG's avail to drop c/r a couple tenths?

How much boost can the Kleeman handle and still be efficient @ redline? I presume upping boost means the stock air/water intercooler get maxed out quick... then heat soak.

Can the stock clk55 cooling system keep up with a kleeman in traffic with AC running?
Alot of questions....... I know .

You can always go with stock e55 compressor pistons.
