C208 55 AMG... should i get one?
Assuming you find a clean example, the engine and transmission are very robust. Take care of it and change fluids at regular intervals. Have a thorough PPI done before any purchase and make sure there are complete service records.
The miles look very good.......does the car have an extended warranty? What is the asking price?

Rich and I found another mod that is inexpensive and should be worthwhile. Rich has ordered a set and I'm going to today....urethane lower control arm bushing...should clean up any slop or minor vibrations experienced (we hope). The rubber bushings are simply not up to the task.
Even with new tires, I've experienced some occasional vibration up front. After bending Rich's ear for hours, we looked into sourcing these or even having some custom made. Thanks to the guys over on 202 club forums, I found a source in California that sells them for just $50 per side.
Can you provide us more information on the urethane lower control arm bushing purchase information? Sounds like some good information. Thanks.
Allan

"Hello everyone!
My name is Tom, I am the seller of the lower control arm bushings you see posted on ebay.
I want to give you guys a little background about me, our company, and let you guys know a little bit about what we are all about.
LPD Auto Parts has been in the automotive business for over 15 years. We are located in Duarte, California and sell new and used auto parts. We have been specializing in Mercedes parts now for over 5 years. We are indeed a dismantling yard, but we see ourselves as so much more. We carry hundreds of Mercedes of all makes, models and years. Our technicians are specially trained to work on Mercedes Benz's as well as other cars.
The 202 lower control arm bushings have been developed due to the high demand from our customers for complete lower control arms that just needed bushing replacements.
We work in conjunction with a special manufacturer that ONLY specializes in polyurethane bushing replacements. We have developed bushings for BMW's, Lexus, Toyota, Nissan, Honda, and now Mercedes.
We have dealer contracts and until now have only offered bushings to commercial industries. We are in the process of growing, utilizing the internet as our stepping stone. We have a webpage currently in development and will be continuing our services to the internet public.
LPD carries a variety of used OEM parts for the 202, and of course these bushings.
If anyone has ANY questions regarding us as a company, our products, parts requests please let me know as I will be your main contact.
For faster response please email us.
Thanks,
Tom

Mine were ordered today and I'm hedging my bet that this will 'cure' the slight shimmy I sometimes get at 60mph.
EDIT: Apologies to Kar doc for getting so far off topic.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Now to keep the off topic train of thought... The only thing my prebuy inspection saw was lower control arms are starting to tear is that the same part?
