Performance for CLK63 Cabriolet ?

Hola folks,
I'm considering a CLK63 cabriolet, and was curious to hear if people have gotten dyno and 1/4 mile figures for the car yet? I searched and found some earlier threads with performance problems for the x63 cars on the dyno and 'strip, but later reports seem to indicate that the cars are performing around where one would expect -- 410 RWHP and 1/4 mile in the low 11x trap speed?

Thanks!

Don't even consider test drive the Clk 63 when you own a Sl 65. You will be very very disappointed.

Traynor i'm your biggest fan lol =] , but if you want to get a 4 seater convertable , i think it's hot and it's faster than any other 63's even tho its convertable , but wait for the black series , that joint is gonna be HOT

I've heard mixed reports. Average seems to be mid 12s @114-117 range.

I know from personal experience that the car will spin the wheels in 2nd and 3rd, so it can't be too much of a slouch.

I might be inclined to expect a touch higher on the dyno, depending on the drivetrain losses. I want to know if we can get the AMG parts over here that they can get in Europe. If so, there's a LSD available, and some higher performance transmission software that AMG can install. The LSD should help bring the 1/4 down considerably.

I am looking for any owner results -- everyone I've seen so far reports 108-109 MPH ?

To me a CLK63 would seem pretty irrelevant, especially since you have the top of the line convertible. But I can't blame you for liking the car. I doubt it goes under 12.5 in the 1/4 mile. I don't know if you're going to find too many results from owners since there are only a few people on these forums who own the CLK63, let alone bring them to the drag strip. Good luck man!

Could you please give me some info on your tuned 911TT?

The CLK is certainly no replacement for the SL65, but I have two small kids, and having back seats (as I've discovered with the porsche) means having a lot more seat time in the 'fun' cars.

Could you please give me some info on your tuned 911TT?

Your turbo must be a rocket! What times have you gotten with that badboy?

And yes, I got the CLK because I needed backseats as well. And they are definitely useable, I've had 6'+ friends in the back and although its tight, nobody complains.

I like the fact that the 911's come with the little backseats. My father, me, and my brother love going in his turbo. Although headroom sucks in the back, its definitely bareable.

Any plans for modding the CLK63? I think you'd be the first.
