Paying for my sins?
What would poses me to do this? I just bought and 08 Mercury Mariner Hyperbread. I have to pass down my current work truck to my manager so he can move some vehicles around the fleet and I figured I would look. I must have an SUV type vehicle for work (A tree guy has to be in a SUV). I drive about 30-36K a year so I figured I would try one of these. Man talk about the anti-Christ compared to my 55. Guess I will just have to drive it harder on the weekends!

j/k aside, I'm looking at a small-ish SUV to lease to replace my aging Jeep Cherokee. Hummer h3 maybe?
Not sure I can stand being seen in it, but it sure would be funny

Yeah I really wanted to get a fun little zippy car like a TSX or Jetta that could get 30ish. I am an Arborist and have a Tree and Landscape Co and people just expect me to pull up in a lifted 4x4 diesel. Figure I could look like a greenie in this lol.

Did you consider the Camry Hybrid or the Highlander Hybrid? I think they are both cheaper than the Mariner...I'm also considering retiring my '96 Grand Cherokee for a fuel efficient car...I love my Jeep tho...=(

I couldn't do the Camry or accord as I need a SUV but the ford/mercury was far cheaper. Fully loaded with Nav, leather upgrade stereo.roof. and more for under 30k. The Toyota was 35k and really had no options. Somewhere around 39-42 load th same. Now it did hace more power and a smoother V-6 vs I-4. Also base mpg was 5 mpg better too.
