New brake pads?
I've been hearing some squealing coming from my brakes and thought it must be time for new pads. Contacted the dealer & he said that I should receive an indication from the electronic wear indicators when there is 25% life remaining. Since the indicator hasn't alerted me he thought it might just be road grime from all the rain. The thing is I have 42,000 miles and would think it's about time for new brake pads.

What is the average mileage other people have changed out your brakes?

The rep also quoted me for rotors but I thought that was a bit strange since I haven't been having any pulsing issues, or felt like I've damaged the rotors. Has anyone else had to replace the rotors when you have changed pads out?

34K miles, still on original pads....50% remaining. If your rotors are well within spec without vibration, no need to change them.

Hmm really?

I guess I won't be shelling out thousands anytime soon for pads and rotors..

I wanna put a set of low-dust pads though but I heard those may eat the rotors alive.

Stock pads are nearly as thick as hockey pucks. They've lasted this long (and WORK!), so I'm hesitant to change.

Just installed AKEBONO EURO BRAKE PADS LOW DUST. They seem real quiet. I'll post back in a few days. You can pick tehm up at the tire rack.

No I didn't install Rotors, I put rotors in about a year ago, I was just sick of all the Dust.

Please keep us up to date on your experiences. This may be an option for me in the future if it doesn't increase rotor wear.
