pick up my first AMG tomorrow....
new to mercedes but not to German cars. i have been in the VW scene forever. finally got tired of having two 4cyl turbo GTI's. just traded the older one in for a 2003 CLK55 AMG with only 17k on the clock. it is going to be nice to have a car that is awesome in stock trim.

I'm in the same club as I just picked up my first AMG last week, a 2004 CLK55 cabriolet. I'm pretty much a Euro-**** when it comes to cars as my last 7 have all been German ('05 CLK500, '99 Porsche 911, '03 BMW Z4), Italian ('70 Fiat 124 spider) or Swedish ('02 Volvo S60 T5, '01 Saab 9-3 cabriolet).

i appreciate the love. i got it CPO for $39,000. probably a little high but i could not turn down the low miles. plus it has the aluminum accents and a 6-disk cd in the glove box. not big on the wood trim interiors. already but some 15mm spacers for the rear. tires are just not wide enough at 245 in the rear. they are brand new michelan pilot sports so i will just space them out for now. also not hip on the 17" wheels but the AMG wheels are so nice i going to keep those for a while too.
only other planned modifications are color matching the rear brake calipers, resonator delete, magnaflow muffler install, and the stock euro AMG springs. i read about them and also that people are gettting different bump stops? anyway i need to do my homework before i tackle that. basically looking for just another inch or less to tuck the car a little. i am only want a stock plus look. otherwise i am not touching the interior, exterior, or engine. 369hp is plenty for me. this is by far the most powerful car i have ever owned.
you guys take it easy.

honestly it looks just like yours. except that it is mercedes silver with dark gray interior and aluminum accents. the car is bone stock. once i get the spacers on, springs installed, and calipers painted i will drop in some pics.
