01 E55 AMG
E55 owner question for CLK folks
I currently own a 01 E55 AMG and want to get a CLK55. Found a 02 in great shape out of state.
My main question is regarding the back seats. I have 2 kids 9 and 3 and was wondering if there is enough room for a car seat for my 3 year old.
Thanks for your help.

Interesting. I have a W124 coupe and a W208 coupe and was looking into a W124 wagon to handle the child duties....tis a bit cramped in the 300CE. I won't even consider putting a child seat in the CLK.

Have 2 child Seats in the Back
We have two kids, 4 and 3 months old. Both types of car seats work great for us in the back of the CLK. My 4 year old kicks the back of my seat but she can do that in the BMW 740i as well. However, this is with adults under 6 feet. But, since you don't have a baby seat anymore, which requires more room, you shouldn't have a problem- unless you are over 6 feet tall. Good luck.

The big kid (me) fits nicely in the driver's seat!
My 3 year old makes for a tight fit in the cab with the Britax car seat by the time you give him some foot space. I usually place him behind the wife since she isnt as tall. He will probably take up less space when in a regular booster.
An infant seat (rear facing) probably won't fit at all and there is no top tether locations I'm aware of in the cab. version anyway.

'07 Carrera S, '31 A 5W hot rod, 4Runner. Sold CLK55
I have 2 kids as well 2 & 1 month. I wouldn't try to fit both car seats & my wife in the car. The rear facing infant seat is huge. Maybe with 2 front facing car seats it's possible but not very comfortable.
