Antenna: CLK 55 2001 (208)

I need the rubber small rod that fits on (in) the "plastic" colored base. Does anyone knows if this can be bought individually or if the whole thing needs to be purchased? Also any recomendations on where could I find this and how much should I pay for it?
I am including a picture of what I am refering to.
PS: Working near a construction site SUCKS! :

Thanks Chappy. I checked the link and it was pretty helpful clearing up some doubts. I'm still interested in knowing if there is anybody that has been able to purchase just the rubber antenna and where. Thanks again.

Any suggestions on how to get rid of the whole antenna sticking out of the roof bit? I do not have a phone and do not really need the antenna and have always felt it ruins the graceful lines of the car. Is it possible to take it off and just put a rubber cap.seal on the hole or something like that?

Since it's for the Tele-Aid system and considered a "safety feature", you may have a hard time finding a shop to do this for you. It would also likely throw codes unless you found a dealership willing to turn off that feature (I'm not even sure this would be possible)....highly doubtful from a liability standpoint. Good luck.

Hi,

I was looking at these a while back. Was thinking they were about the right size with some trimming. I ended up just buying the Mercedes replace part from some guy on ebay. You might give these a try.

No problem.. Speaking of "participation", care to join us at the track in September? We'll be at No Problem Raceway in Louisiana (rented the track for 2 days)! Dallas is not too far....

We still have spots available.
