How do I get more HP from my 2002 CLK55?
What have people done to get more HP? I've read about exhaust mods. I've read about removing the screen in the mass flow sensor (which I am skeptical about). What about other stuff? Superchargers kits? etc... I'd like to know what has worked for other people and how to, or where to buy the parts. Thanks.

you can get some new air filters put in, do the rear cat + resonator delete, the sprint booster, ECU reflash, headers, and exhaust, but you really won't feel that much of a difference.
The Kleemann and Renntech superchargers will run you about $14-15k installed...... you will definitely be able to feel the difference.
The best bang for your buck is to just get a 100 shot direct port nitrous system installed. For right around $500.00 that would be the most HP gain for the price..... now is it the safest? hell no! But it's definitely the cheapest!

#1, don't mess with the mass air flow sensor.....

If you have the $$$ get the kleemann s/c, headers, ecu tune, and lsd.

It all depends on how much you want to spend. You also have to figure how long you are going to keep the car for. You also have to remember it is very difficult to get your money out of mods when you sell. If you are keeping the car for a long time, it almost doesn't matter what you spend.
Our performance solution for the NA 55 engine will improve throttle response, broaden the power band, improve the mid range punch, remove the speed limiter and give ~30-35hp gain. ....and the price won't break the bank!
Your car isn't going to be a 10second 1/4 mile car, but you will enjoy the driving experience much more.

I agree about direct port being a little more than $500 but where in the world does a wet kit cost $2k

I agree. Except direct port nitrous is gonna cost you way more than 500 bucks. A simple wet shot with all the bells and whistles will set you back $2k installed. But it is the best bang for your buck.

doesn't it slowly kill the engine (even though our 55's have forged internals )

Quant- as of right now my car is in the shop and I will pick it up tomorrow I'm only going to be running a wet 50 shot that only sprays when armed, at WOT, and above 3500rpm. Pretty safe if you ask me. If I blow my motor it will be rebuilt with lower compression and all hell will break loose! Do you know where I can get that widebody in your avatar?
