does the bumper not have the holes at the peak of where the molding would go around the headlights?

I just took off my bumper and the inside of your bumper is missing a lot of connectors it looks like for the "guts" of what your amg bumper has inside of it. Stuff that keeps the styrofoam (for reinforcement) in place and also for connecting the bumper to the body of the car so it stays snug in place... a lot seems to be missing bro - sorry to break it to you
at least from what i am looking at and from what I remember when i took off the stock front bumper of my vehicle

Thats exactly how they come. You have to drill the holes and make make brackets if necessary

Man This is now how I expected the bumper to look like on the inside.

I guess I will go to a body shop and see if they can just mold the top of my AMG bumper to the bottom of the Carlsson like someone else on this forum did. That would probably come out to the same as making custom brackets to make it fit right in the end.

I am going to have to hold off on this project and see if someone will actually buy my 430. I thought this would be way easier to do...dum me!!!

Its a felix bumper. I bought it off of a guy on Benzworld that was in on that group buy. This bumper is NICE as hell and my wife liked it but I dont have time for a project like this with my move coming up shortly.

The body shop i took mine fixed it up really well, even made holes for the washer and side markers which now have clear lens. Even made brackets for the fog lights and reinforced underneath the bumper so when i hit something it will not crack.

Including paint and installation it was 400 i gave him 450 since i thought they did a good job. But I have used them before also so that might have brought the price down. And he did not want to attach the upper part of the stock bumper, he said so just in case i rip the felix one i still have the stock to use. so I thought that was great.

The car has just been dropped off at the body shop for the install!!!!

They are only charging me 405 for the whole thing...they said that they have done these custom body kits multiple times. The car will be ready Monday morning so it will be ready for the DYNO run next Saturday now.

Thanks for all the info and reasurring words..This thing would have been gone and sold.

Will do..I just got a call from the shop and they want 75 more dollars because they said that they surface needed much more prep to get it smooth than he first thought!!!

I just want the damn thing on now....so I told him ok.

I need to hurry up and buy the angel eye fogs to get those installed. I will hopefully have the car on Monday and will take some pics then.

This is one of many on Ebay and actually the cheapest price that I have found so far.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HELLA...spagenameZWDVW

I havent bought them yet though..I am waiting to see if anyone knows of a better set that fits into the Carlsson slot. If noone knows then I will end up ordering this set in 2 days.

Quick update for those that asked for it:

I just dropped off the fog lamps..the only issue is that the shop told me that the opening was not 4 inches so I could not install the Hella angels!! I found some other angel lights that were 3.5 inches and actually have a much, much brighter angel eye lightup but the glass was a light blue and not clear so there was a small trade off.

The car should be ready tommorrow at 11am I hope it comes out ok!! I have always wanted this kit so I hope that I like it.

Now I will need some more power to go along with the looks!!

I know its only a 430 so give me a break 55's
