Hello everyone. First post for me, can't beleive this thread has been going on for 3 & 1/2 years
I'm a AMG owner since 2001, have 148,000 on my CLK and I'm going to try to put on another 100k.
I was at the local auto parts store a few weeks back and came across the ultimate rebadged car. See if you can figure out what the hell this is:

True. I guess the poser vs non poser argument is at the very heart of this thread. I will shut up about it now, I promise! I guess I get scared the thread will be shut down when the arguing gets too heated.

Late Friday night, driving on the Jersey Turnpike (no surprise there), I saw an S550 w/ AMG badge on it. I tried to follow it to grab a pic but it started to play some games with a ricer and I wanted nothing to do with it. I find most of the posers are either in NJ or Staten Island with a few from the other boroughs. I can safely say I have never seen one in the City.

Not an amg poser but I thought it was worthy of posting. I found this one parked in southbeach. Either he was trying to be funny and was making fun of amg posers himself or he thought the badges looked cool. Maybe its the ultimate sleeper?

just bought a w210 with an amg badge slapped on the WRONG SIDE.. ha! immediately knew it was a de-badged E 320, and i only paid what it was really worth. had to scrape that **** off, took forever. although, it did have the 18" monoblocks, but no more effort was put forth by the previous owner as far as body kits or exhaust tips go.
Also, just saw a Z3 with the S badge from a Carolla stuck on it... what are these people thinking??

Anybody can pose as they like. Where the problem is or the unethical issue matter is when the vehicle would be sold as AMG at AMG value.

A Mercedes obviously!
Saw a good one today...bright red Bentley Continental GT with enormous chrome wagon wheels and an AMG badge on the back, although on the wrong side! There was another badge on it that had been slapped on, but I couldn't tell what it was.

I notice a lot of AMG emblems on non-AMG cars in Atlanta all of a sudden...very strange. Some of these cars were being sold at dealers as well. Go figure?
