CL 500 (2003 W215). Range Rover Sport. Ferrari 360 spider. Ferrari F355 spider. MV Agusta F4.
Saw this CLK 500 "AMG" off old Old Country Road in Old Westbury, NY this weekend. Looked to be a 03-04 CLK. Driving like a nut, awful taste in music it sounded like as it reflects on his taste on the awful 22+ chrome rims with low profile tires. The poser was a black male, 25-30 I would say wearing what looked like a baseball cap. I was going to take more pic but the furious driver(poser) was turning very quick. I took what I could with a I-Phone.

I bet it really pisses you that the factory are now supplying non-AMG engined cars with AMG kit and badges?
Try Viagra Mr. R, it will save you money in the long run: No fake badge required.
I thought even the 500's had dual exhaust LOL. The AMG makes it worse but He might even be posing with the 500 badge alone. Lmao, i could be wrong tho
To pose a 500 you really should see a shrink: All it takes to drive one is a gas station credit card and a deal with Discount Tires..
Back in the day when I was young and poor, driving a 900 cc WV Polo, I had more female companionship and bed-partners than you could shake a stick at. A fake or real AMG would not have made any difference.

Oh jesus here we go. Racist? No. I described the poser. I called it how I saw it. No different if someone asked me what the driver looked like or the car looked like. There was nothing racist in anyway about my post. Lets not turn this into a race post here. I saw a AMG poser. I described the poser. There were no derogatory words used in the post. Nothing else to really say about what I saw.

A C250 with AMG Skirts and wheels is far inferior to the performance of a C63. Notice the 50% higher price mark there??
Please take a drive down to your local Merc dealer and snap some shots for me. Find a C class with AMG Wheels. Then look at the brakes and walk around to the back of the car. Note the lack of a ///AMG Badge.
No one cares if you get some styling cues from AMG to make your car look sportier. It is when you slap AMG Badges, things like the 6.3 fender badges just to put up a false image of having a true, hand-built performance machine is when people here get up in arms.

Depending on the context of your message..... Yes. It's not the fact he mentioned race, it's the derogatory manner in which it was interpreted/presented. It's not always about what you say, it's about how you say it. WITH THAT SAID, you CAN NOT hear tone for purposes of punch lines or sarcasm etc. over the net usually. So, someone's interpretation of what was said VS what the person who posted really meant can be 2 different things. So i realize this guy MIGHT not have been making a racist comment, but it sounds to me like he was.

A poser is a poser, it has nothing to do with race. The fact that he felt the need to mention race at all speaks volumes. Yes you order the AMG option from the factory but calling it a "trim level" is somewhat of an understatement. It is more than just different seats or ground effects. It is a complete package that upgrades the engine, transmission, brakes, some interior features, suspension, ground effects, oh yea PRICE, and more with options only found in or on AMG's from the factory. UNLESS, someone adds one or a few of the above stated AMG features to their regular Benz turning them into what this thread is all about........posers LOL
