The taillights are a definite update, and the body kit looks like it's from Carlsson (as someone else already pointed out).

That body kit is from Lorinser.
It may or may not be a real AMG. Those 2001 and 2002 S55s have the same bumpers as a regular S Class with Sport Package with the addition of two exhaust pipes out the rear. Since the body kit's been changed you can't easily tell if it's fake or not. HOWEVER, because the badging is obviously in such an odd position, it is certainly possible that it's been rebadged. Those pre facelifeted W220s are very susceptible to the false AMG badging due to its now low price and type of customers it attracts.

I saw a CLS63 AMG with the V12 bi-turbo badge on it a few months back. I'm ashamed of myself for not getting pictures. So many things were wrong with the car. And while I was eating lunch just staring at it, everything that was wrong with the car was eating away at me. plus I was kicking myself for letting my co-worker drive.
Anyways list of poser material.
CLS63 badge - ok yet had the V12-BiTurbo badge. V12's equal 65 not 63.
Single tipped exhaust. Every AMG I've ever had has had dual tip exhaust.
Mercedes branded calipers - This is what really set me off and I knew this was a pos.

I hope you mean posER, as NO cls, even a posed out one, is a piece of sh#t!!!!!!!!!!!!
If that was a 4.7TT, he actually would have stayed in front of you from start to end, especially if he would have a tune or something like that...
Nonetheless he is clearly a poser, but don't downgrade his car too quickly!!

Err bone stock means that the car is stock- it doesn't matter how well equipped it is from the factory. The AMG bumpers are a factory option so the car's still bone stock.
Well here's my poser story. I debadged the R63 and AMG from the back of my car just before we head off on a roadtrip. When we set out on the roadtrip on the freeway I'm sitting in the left lane and an E Class w212 is tailgating me. I go into the right and he pulls up along side me and I can tell he's clearly looking at the 6.3AMG badge on the fender and is looking inside the car as well. Both the [male] driver and [female] passenger are checking my car out. He pulls ahead just enough that I can see that the back of his car reads E550 AMG. I just shake my head and am like WTF- not dealing with this bull today. I just step on the gas pedal and accelerate from 60-80 in the matter of seconds and leave him in the dust. He doesn't try to catch up.
The best part of it is that the back of my car is debadged and he's just looking at me like is that a real AMG or what... and then I just pull away. =]

Regarding the poser, chances are seeing the size of the brakes and the owner.. I think it was a V6 model. Which I didn't know until I did some research... I figured they were all V8's. The previous gen came in some V6's which is what the car looked like as far as body style (W219).
Interesting on what you say regarding the 4.7TT though.. looking at the specs on wikipedia other than the AMG's none of them look faster than the C55. Is it not listed there as an option? This is the page I was looking at.

And I'm not sure the 0-60 times for the C55's are documented correctly. Random places on the net say between 4.7 - 5.6.. Honestly I have no idea what mine is at. But it "feels" closer to 4.9.. not slow..

VERY nice looking CLK you've got there. Love the wheels. Which ones are they if you don't' mind me asking. Looks super clean. And is that the CLK63 bumper you have on there?

Saw this CLK 500 "AMG" off old Old Country Road in Old Westbury, NY this weekend. Looked to be a 03-04 CLK. Driving like a nut, awful taste in music it sounded like as it reflects on his taste on the awful 22+ chrome rims with low profile tires. The poser was a black male, 25-30 I would say wearing what looked like a baseball cap. I was going to take more pic but the furious driver(poser) was turning very quick. I took what I could with a I-Phone.
