AMG posers

Hey, non-amg owner here. I've been waiting for what seems like forever to get a flat hood badge for my e320. Having just got back from a trip, I am ready to order one. I think I am wanting the black/white affalterbach emblem (pictured below). I did post a question a while back on the non-amg forum but want confirmation from amg owners.
Would this emblem be acceptable in, your opinion, on my car. I do not want to try to pass my car off as amg or be considered a poser? I really just like the design and rareness of that badge. If there are any objections I will understand and likely get a default white star.

Is that badge cool? Absolutely!
In my opinion, if you like it, BUY IT MATE. Just know you may catch some heat over it

QUESTION: Does anyone know which AMGS came with these badges? Would it be OK for a real AMG to have them?

Also I know this is a C class discussion but felt the topic fit in perfectly for my question. Also I have no intention to put any amg badges elsewhere on the car, as like I said I do not want it to make my car look amg.

Thanks to both of you, I really appreciate the comments. To be honest I was not expecting that, and actually makes me feel more conflicted. If any more people would like to add their 2 cents (good or bad), or if you can recommend a black emblem for my car that does not insinuate amg, I would be happy to hear from you.
Also, as I feel I should contribute something to the discussion: My friends neighbor has a w203. It has a stock non-amg bumper with a single exhaust tip. On the trunk it has debadged whatever was on the left but placed the amg logo on the right side. Next time I am over I will take a picture for you. I may not be one of you, but this blatant lying still bothers non-amg owners as well.

If you are European and have the right accent, you can turn your V6 CLK into a genuine CLK Black Series 3.2L 215 hp model. The genuine badges say so.

The hilarious part I think is that they didn't deal with the light colored interior (did the CLK BS come in anything but black interior) or the stock luxury seats or wood steering wheel. But they bothered with the yellow coils and brake calipers. Hahaha

The owner could have sold his car, bought an ACTUAL AMG (55 not 63, and definitely not black series) and been ahead money wise for the price of all of that kit / wrapping / etc... Also, does anyone else see anything wrong with using hot glue to hold on grilles that are going to be subjected to heat.... hmm....

It's funny, a lot of the time people will take the AMG badge off to make their car a sleeper, then the others that don't have an AMG will throw the badge on there. They should be embarrassed.
I used to see a lot of Mustang's with the 5.0 badge on them even though that particular body style did not have a 5.0. Some people have big ego's to feed.

this thread was a lot more energetic when we were arguing about my car...personally i think it's a lamborghini instead of an amg since it's had time to appreciate in value...and suck my nuts if you disagree!!!

If it makes you feel better, South Florida (Miami, Ft. Lauderdale) has tons of those too. I have noticed them on CL, CLS and SL classes as well. Heck, it might be a general issue.

The only AMG posers I've seen in Colorado are the W220s also, with a few exceptions but that's a very commonly 'badged' car.

Not too many out here west of Milwaukee. Not like anyone would know what the hell an AMG is anyway. Oddly enough there is a SL500 AMG that I have seen many times at the local home improvement store. I tried to speak to the guy once, but he is not very friendly. Now, if I happen to see his car and I have my SL55, I park right next to him. I think he is getting pissed. I need to snap a pick next time.

cal1, you might be better off parking on the opposite side of the lot... If I see a poser, I wouldn't park anywhere in its proximity especially if they are unfriendly.
Plus, your AMG badge might be at risk of theft
