CLK 55 AMG coming this week!
Looking forward to getting my new car, well actually 2003. It will be interesting to see how it performs round the track as well as the street. Got one without sunroof for extra helmet room and highish mileage so replacing parts for high quality performance items won`t really affect its value. I am in the UK and it would be great to hear from other owners that trackday their 55or any other CLK.

CLK55 AMG
Congrats. I bought a CLK55 AMG in late August and love it. I haven't had a chance to track it yet. We got our first snowfall so she is all put away for the winter unless I decide to take it out west or south. The car is a fire breathing dragon though. Enjoy....

CLK55 AMG
Congrats on the new car! I got my "new" 2003 CLK55 AMG about a month ago and love it. I haven't tracked it but I have had a lot of fun on the highway with it. I hope to take it for a track day in the spring to see what it can really do! Let us know what your track experiences are like.
Cheers!

Tracking 2001 CLK55 AMG
Here is the link to my post about tracking my 2001 CLK55 AMG: https://mbworld.org/forums/clk55-amg-clk63-amg-w208-w209/190834-completed-lapping-day-miller-motor-sports-park.html.
In short, I killed every driver in my beginning group. It was a blast. I did upgrade the ECU, tires, rims, added H&R Springs and put on some SS brake-lines and high temp fluids before I went to the track.
I included some track pictures I didn't post before:

03 CLK 55 AMG, IMCO muffler/Magnaflow tips, KW V1 coilovers, 19" Petrol Metrix Wheels
car looks good on the track. those wheels are huge. car feels too heavy for the track but i am sure the power more than makes up for it.

Thanks AGMGOODNESS,
Well, as for heavy, here is my experience at the track. A Porsche 997S is about 3200 and the 2001 CLK is about 3420. Yes 200 lbs can be significant but my CLK dynoed much higher in HP and TQ than my cousins 997S.
The advantage to the Porsche at the track was the 295 R-Compound tires on the rear. However, HP and TQ went to the CLK and it makes a difference when you are in 2nd to 3rd gear most of the time around the track because that is a great power band for our cars. I ate up Caymens, 911s and S4s.
Put on some wider Rims with R-Compound tires and you got yourself a race!

Miller Motorsports Park
Utah has one of the best new tracks in the world- Miller Motorsports Park. I was on the West Track of the map (2.2 miles). I am lucky to have this track in my back yard.
