Since I really don't know Benz's which car is the better performer and has better handling and stability?

the time difference could have been made up in the straightaway. the C55 has much more power. i would be willing to be that the CLK55 is the better handler.

i thought the 05' C55 and the 04' CLK55 had the same engine. How could the C55 have "much more power" ????????

i calculated the weight/HP ratio for the C55 and came up with 9.71:1, whereas the CLK55's was 10.04:1.

So, because the C55 is a lighter car, that is why it is faster on the track by a slim margin......NOT because it has "much more power."

even so, it doesn't make sense that a CLS55 would only beat a W208 or W209CLK55 by 7 seconds.

C55 is lighter everything else is about the same, dunno about weight distribution but I remember reading that the c55's is better than the slk55's.

i personally think the c55 is the better performer but the clk is better looking and has more then enough performance

....that if we could get access to temp data for those two cars' runs, we would see that the C55 ran under much better track conditions. The two cars' setups are quite similar, and I would not think that with the same driver, on the same track, under the same conditions, there would be such a gap.

One used to be able to look up that info at track-challenge.com or whatever, but it seems to be shut down.
