yeah you can get them from online MB parts places. I think they come in silver, black, and white as standard colors. It'll cost you about $30. I lost mine 2 months ago and had to replace it, so i feel your pain.

Here's a picture of the ordering on parts.com in case steve can't get them. you look up your clk model (i chose 2001 mercedes clk, amg bumper is all the same). then I selected "front bumper" and then "bumper and components" then "cap" then "headlamp washers" Silver ones are $23 each + shipping.

Thanks!

Please let us know if you head that way again...would love to obtain a few pairs of those.

I see you've got sensors in the bumper and different wheels than USA-spec. Did you import your car?

Sunshade comes standard on the 55s. Parktronic was not an option here.

More on the head lamp cleaner cover

Greetings from Napa Valley, CA
I just had to replace the headlamp washer cover on my 01 CLK55 AMG, it was eaten inadvertently in a car wash. Lesson learned.
It was a 3 day wait and $60.00 from a dealer near here. It is a bit of a deal to replace it, also a bit of fun. One has someone in the car to push the button to activate the cleaner. As it juts out to do its job, you have to catch and hold it from returning since it is only out for maybe a second and slips back in. It is like catching a runaway rodent... Once you have the sliding arm in your hand it is easy to clip the 4 nipples into place and release
the arm back into the retracted position. The solution that squirts out will leave a white filim all over you and that side of the car, so you have to wash the car after this process. It took us a few tries to figure it out and we got wet and soapy but we got it done. It was impossible to get the slide arm out for us without activating the cleaner.

hi gary,

wee, that sounds like fun, haha. just thinking about it makes me smile. should be the best part, aside from the cover arriving in my mail that is. i got mine form www.parts.com with the help from da_guitarist and mark. it only cost me $35 shipped to NV though. thanks for the detailed instruction on putting it in. i was kinda wondering how the hell im supposed to stick it back in ther. thanks a bunch!

any help on my query above? still dont know what that part is called

BTW,

how did you mean "got eaten in a car wash"? that's just crazy

Hi,
What I meant by 'eaten' by the car wash was that the cover had been clearly removed a couple of times by the previous owner (who BTW bought a 63 AMG to replace the CLK55AMG I bought from him) for whatever reason.

This particular part is pretty cheesy by MB standards. wimpy soft plastic, that had been stretched by heat or something enough that a moderate horizontal sweeping motion with a soap mitt knocked it off. The four way swivel stud affair that it hooks onto is pretty stout by comparison. It is the cover that is cheeseball, you will see. Basically, I think this is a stupid and almost embarrassing little optional gismo that no one really needs, gilding the lily and all that, so my approach has been to never use them again, not wanting to go through the hassle of looking at the hole and having to replace them.

I have no idea about your emblem problem, sorry.

hello gary,

you are right. i dont see any reason on using that thing unless you got bugs all over the headlight. id much rather clean it with a cloth than risk losing the darn cover again.

good news, by the way, i was able to source out the part at our local dealer in Manila. i will have it here in 3 days from Singapore. thanks again for the installation info.

cheers
