***The New Prototype***

First off... I would like to thank everyone for their support and inquiries. A special thanks goes to Brad O. @ EvoSport for finally pointing me in the right direction!!!

So, without further delay I would like to introduce - EP-1

https://mbworld.org/forums/attachmen...2&d=1213073202

https://mbworld.org/forums/attachmen...3&d=1213073202

Exhaust Plenum - 1 or E-P-1... That's what we call it!

This version is crafted from 304 stainless steel. The runners measure 1.75" on the O.D. leading into a 2.25" collector. They will be installed some time this week and testing will begin shortly after.

So do you guys know how much difference there is in the factory exhaust manifolds between the 430 and 55? Wondering if this will be a similar performance boost on the 55 as 430.

There is no difference between the two manifolds, they are exactly the same.

Good evening Gentleman...

I did pick up my car today, and it is good to have her back!!!

Now down to business:

Even with the new design, the EP-1's fit 'like a glove'. The only downside is to get a true measure of the headers performance I had the dealership install the full factory exhaust (all 4 cats). I can tell you that it is real punchy but nothing like it will be when the rest of the exhaust is installed.

The dyno is scheduled for Friday and I will be posting the results.

Drum Roll Please.....

A couple of things first, I really underestimated the amount of heat these things put out. I was getting massive heatsoak on the airbox and airtubes. With that problem corrected it was off to the dyno....

Setup:
W208 CLK55 AMG Airbox
Green Filters
EP-1's
Full Factory Center Section (All 4 Cats!!)
Eissamann Race Muffler

This all adds up to...

254 rwhp
244 rwtq

The new center section will be installed tomorrow and the dynos will follow after I rack up some miles. So, let me know what you think!!

Thank you... I would expect similar, if not better gains from a 55.
