Tint or No Tint

Hello,

I've only posted a couple of times but would like anybody's opinion. I have a 01 CLK55 that I'm thinking about finally tinting the windows. Some days I like how the windows have the blue-ish color to them in the sun and but then I think it would look good if I tinted them. But since I live where its sunny pretty much all the time, I'm thinking about finally tinting them. But I just want some opinions before I do it. I just keep going back and forth whether or not to do it.

Thanks in advance.

I'd go 35% (medium) tint all the way around. I tinted my CLK430 and also my CLK55 (see sig) and I know what you mean about liking the blue tint. In the end I never regretted the tint as it gives off a cleaner look, especially on a dark colored car. The whole job should cost $180 or so.

I did the legal limit here (IIRC 35% or 32%, I forget). It will save your interior from fading.

I just tinted mine earlier this year and have loved it so much! GO with the tint. You won't regret it.

i'm torn as well. i love the blue look, but i feel like the tint would be nice on a black car and also provide protection to the inside. I'd leave the windshield as is for visibility at night. But I'd probably go 20%-ish if i was gonna tint.

Thanks everybody. Hopefully gonna tint my car sometime this week when I have time. 35% sounds about right, I don't wanna get so dark since my car is silver.

Im gonna go for 20%. My previous benz was 15% and liked it very much even though i had to roll down my windows quick when i saw a cop.

Did you guys have the stock blue tint removed before new tint?
My stock tint has some bubbles and a noticable scratch.

I tinted down to 27 or 26 pct, and I wish I have gone darker since I drive a black car. People for some reason like to stare in at you when you drive a mercedes... I don't know why, but it's annoy sometimes.

Definitely go for the tint. I was reluctant (not wanting to look like a ricer-poser), but went with 50% front / 35% rears and have never regretted it. Besides protecting your interior, it just looks coooooool!

Can someone recommend a shop to have my car tinted? I'm in So. Cal. Orange County area. A friend of mine told me about a place called Best Tint in Stanton. Someone also recommended a place called XLNT Tint in Anaheim. Anyone heard of these places?
