2. Auto Warranty Brokers (http://www.autowarrantybroker.com/) I have this one! Prices are different model to model, depends what kind of coverage are you looking for. Some of them you can add specific coverage, things like seals and gaskets! Make sure that you put some time into research, a lot of these companies go broke all of the sudden, and you are left with no coverage and no money back. Make sure that they are independently insured as well! Good luck!

Paid $3500.00.
Check Better Business Bureau! Good luck.
This company doesn't cover AMGs - at least in my state.

) that were not fulfilled. Buckhead Mercedes had an issue as well when I asked. Long story short, I got my money back and cancelled the WD policy.WD argued, they would deal with a dealer that would not take a third party warranty, they pay by credit card, listed with BBB, and pay claims, etc. but the bottom line came down to:
If I need to take my car (especially the CLS) in for major work, it would go to the dealer. They won't take the warranty. It would be useless at that point when I need it most.
So now, I am back to the debate on getting an extended warranty through MB or not. It is about $5300 for a 5 yr/100K, and accepted at any MB shop. Would this be more cost effective to get the warranty or take my chances?
(I asked about this before, turned into some nutty convo about affordability. Cost effective is not the same as affordability)
How long do you plan on owning the car?
How many miles/year do you put on the car?
Is this your primary driver?
For me, the decision was easy - but I ended up paying just $2490 for a 3yr/100K extended warranty for an AMG. I knew when I bought the CLK (6 years ago) I would be keeping the car a while and that certain things (engine, transmission, ECU or other computers, etc.) are very expensive.
The other thing to consider is shopping for your MB warranty. You do not have to purchse it from your dealer. In fact, I bought mine over the phone from the Chico, CA dealer who discounted the price $1000.

Best of luck in your decision.

Miles are about 10K/yr now, since I drive the E320 during the week.
I drive her Fri-Sun, mostly Sat-Sun.
That is another way to go at it, good suggestion. I will inquire at other dealers on the warranty and do price comparisons.
