Car was rock solid. I'm stock (save for the euro-spec springs and poly LCA bushings) and my track wheels are 17" monoblocks with 235-40-17 and 255-40-17 Falken Azenis 615s. You immediately notice the extra "bite" from having wider, sticker rubber underneath you. Gave me more confidence as I learned the track. In fact, I opted to turn off ESP on about the 3rd session....then see if I could catch da_guitarist. It was working great until I came into a sharp right hander WAY TOO HOT and knew I'd lost it. I went off at around 40mph after serious understeer - there was plenty of room and the grass was flat and soft so no damage at all. I waited for the corner worker to waive me back on track then pitted briefly. Everything checked out fine - didn't even get any grass or dirt stuck anywhere.
Put ESP back on and ran the next several sessions at 8 10ths...I had to drive home 4+ hours after all.
The last session - we basically had the track to ourselves (just 2 cars on track!) I pushed it a little more and really enjoyed the laps after I found a new line (courtesy of my Audi bud) coming off the last corner onto the straight. Look up www.roeblingroad.com for a track map.
My b'day gift was a new Garmin 750.
