Thanks for the pics. By the way JamE55, when the dealer is tired of sitting on it I will be glad to offer invoice price (cash of course). How can they possibly expect a premium on this car when the other models are so much more for the money?

I can't believe that Mercedes is charging $75,000 for both the CLK 55 and the E55. The E55 has the supercharged engine and a mountain of torque and the CLK has a warmed-over powerplant.
I personally like the rear (taillights) of the new CLK better than the old one but it is still based on the C-class and I think the new CLK55 is overpriced at MSRP and off the scale with a $15,000 markup. WOW !! I guess someone who dumped thier dot.com stock early will pay it though.

i went to HOI on saturday to get a car wash and there was two CLK55 there. They want $15k over msrp for it...

That's a pretty good bargain $15k over msrp cuz the one here in Glendale i remember looking at it and they wanted $25k over?

If anyone is seriously interested in a 55 at MSRP let me know as the dealer I bought my 500 from in FLA was willing to sell me a 55 on the show room floor for MSRP.

Just thinking about a change, my wife would like charcoal interior and heated seats. But as close in price to the new E55, I wonder if it makes any sense tp pursue. I may wait for the prices to get more in line (if that's possible) with the C32.
