How much is an 04 CLK55 worth?
My brother is looking to buy a CLK 500 coupe or maybe a CLK55
There is a nice CLK 55, I can pick up for 23,000
Mileage 54000
Silver/Black
It is well optioned; has keyless go, command nav, heated seats, cd changer
I've come across a few CLK 500's from 17,000-18,000 not as nice as this 55 and with more miles and less options like Nav or keyless go.
Price seems very fair what do you think? He's looking for a car he will take care of and probably keep a several years.

I know it is the better choice but, but my brother was only looking to spend 17000-18000 on a car right now.
I guess, the question is if he ponies up another 5,000 for a 55 will he still be $5,000 better off three or four years from now, versus a clk500. Maybe I can put it to him like that, if it's a true statement.

find an
03 with low miles
With the cash market the way it is 20 k for an 03 and the guy will be blessing you to take it off his hands.
18 k budget have him find an 02 E55 low miles or an 02-04 C32 both quicker anyway, and easier to work on.

He tells me he will only go 17000-18000 and is willing to wait for the right car, preferrably local to charlotte, nc. I do need to look at the c32's again and see what's out there.
