New CLK 55 owner just had some questions.
Just got a 2001 CLK 55 95,000 miles and was just wondering if there is anything in particular I need to be aware as far as wear. I didn't know if these cars had any parts that cause problems and go out. Only problem I know of on the car is the clock is missing some of the leds, but it doesn't really bother me. Car has been meticulously maintainted. The previous owner gave me the paperwork from the dealer he always took it to. Also, would anyone know the part no. for the navigation unit for that car. I was thinking about getting the MB nav rather than something aftermarket, just to keep the car as close to original as possible. Thanks in advance for the help.
ps I am passionate about motorcycles, but never cars, until now. This thing is truly a work of art.

i would check the following:
-engine and transmission mounts
-transmission fluid
-diff fluid
-coolant fluid
-steering damper
-all suspension components, tie rod, control arms, ball joints, lower control arm bushings
congratulations on the purchase. enjoy.

Thanks for the advice. I will definitely get the tranny done, if it has not already been done so and the plugs. Also, is it worse on the car to do the shifting yourself? What rpm should I shift at?
